Kathy was born in Hanford, California on August 25, 1953 at the Hanford Sanitarium Hospital. In high school she was the majorette for the school band and graduated from Hanford High School as a proud Bullpup with her fellow classmates of 1972. She married George (Rick) Miller in 1973 and had their two sons; Bryan Miller in 1974 and Brandon Miller in 1978. She began working at Branch and Chambers in 1974 and continued working there for about 10 years. Her marriage with Rick ended in 1981. She married Steve Maciel in 1985 and had their two daughters; Brittany in 1989 and Brooke in 1991. She was a stay at home mom and helped with bookkeeping in the family electrical business from home. She loved supporting her kids play sports and was looked up to as the ultimate team mom, or “Majik” mom, for the girls’ competitive soccer team, Cen-Cal Majik. In 2005, she began working for George’s building maintenance business, G& B Janitorial, and became a part-owner in 2013. In 2010, Kathy and Steve ended their marriage. Kathy rejoined her loving parents; Bill and Louise Harrah, in her childhood home. After many years, she was able to retain friendships with most of her high school classmates and was actively involved with the high school reunions. When she wasn’t at Pismo Beach, she spent most of her time going to lunch, enjoying the pool, spending time with family, or going out dancing with her friends. She was always there to lend a helping hand to family and friends.
