Lee was born in Hanford, California on July 14, 1957 to Leland and Connie Tos. He attended Hanford Christian School, Hanford High, and the College of the Sequoias. After attending Junior College, he began a farming operation in Hanford where he farmed walnuts and field crops along with a walnut shaking operation in partnership with his father. He also spent approximately 20+years in law enforcement with the Sherriff's department in both Wyoming and Colorado. He was the commander of the Two Rivers Enforcement Team (TRIDENT) before retiring in Tehachapi.
From an early age he developed a love and proficiency in hunting. He enjoyed pursuing deer, elk, and other big game. Lee was also able to take a long-planned safari to Africa. He also spent some of his off-work time as a guide for other hunters in California & Colorado. If there was ever any free time for Lee, he would usually spend it in the mountains either fishing, hunting or trying to locate a potential new hunting spot. He also enjoyed playing baseball and football in his high school & college years.
Lee enjoyed traveling, reading, going to Dodger Stadium to watch his team, the San Francisco Giants and spending time with his family and friends. He will be greatly missed by those who knew him.
We are comforted knowing he rests in the presence of his heavenly Father free from sickness, pain, and discomfort.
Leland is survived by his longtime companion Sahara Fechner, his mother, Connie Tos, his sons, Jacob and Logan Tos, his grandchildren, McKenzie Tos, Hunter Tos & Gage Tos, a sister, Karen Little and a brother, Randy Tos.
A service will be held on February 10th at 10 AM at the Hanford Cemetery. There will be gathering of family & friends at the Kings Country Club following the service.
