Lola Diane Johnston

Lola was born in Martinez, California on May 26, 1950 to James R. and Leorine Johnston. Her family moved to Visalia, California when she was a little girl and she attended Green Acres School and Redwood High School. She has made her home in Hanford since 1978. Lola was of a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Reedley, California. She was employed by California Pretzel Company for 12 years. Lola especially enjoyed times spent with her family and playing with her grandchildren. Her hobbies included reading and gardening.

Lola was preceded in death by her father, James in 1996 and by her mother, Leorine in 2000 and by her stepfather, Jack Sweeney in 1988.

Lola leaves to cherish her memory, two children, Raymond Sanchez of Armona, CA and Michelle Navarro and husband, Mario of Hanford, CA; one brother, Jimmy Johnston of Woodlake, CA; two sisters, Linda LaManian of Reno, NV and Betty Johnston of Exeter, CA; six very special grandchildren, RJ Sanchez, Paige Sanchez, Alexzie Sanchez, Vanessa Navarro, Victoria Navarro and Dominick Navarro and one great grandchild, Braden Heffley.

Visitation will be held at People’s Funeral Chapel, 501 N. Douty Street in Hanford, California on Sunday, October 30, 2011 from 3 – 6 p.m. with Recitation of the Rosary following at 6 p.m.
