

Norman Alex De Soto passed into eternal life on March 7, 2017 at the age of 84 years old. He was born in Glendora, California on August 9, 1932. Norman moved to Hanford, California at an early age, and then moved to Corcoran.
Norman married the love of his life, Inez Cano. They were married for 63 years. After a few years, they started a family and had five children. Norman worked for J.G. Boswell his whole life until his retirement. After retiring, Norman started his own lawn and garden service in Hanford.
Norman had a passion for fishing and his art of wood working and crafting. When living in Corcoran, Norman also had the love of farm animals. During the later years, Norman and Inez raised their little dog, Rusty, who stayed with them until the end.
Norman was preceded in death by his parents, Zeferino and Amelia Soto; and also his wife, Inez De Soto. He is survived by his siblings, Eleanor Navarro, Zeferino De Soto Jr., Amelia Cowart, Richard De Soto, and Madeline Ramirez.
His is also survived by his five children, Norma Villarreal, Steve De Soto, Ernest De Soto, Rudy De Soto, and Carlos De Soto. Norman is also survived by his 19 grandchildren and 36 great grandchildren.
A viewing will be held on Monday, March 20, 2017 from 5 to 6 p.m. with a Rosary to be held from 6 to 7p.m. at People’s Funeral Chapel, 501 N Douty St, Hanford, CA 93230. A Catholic Mass will be held on Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Hanford with burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery.
