

Penny Lou Badasci, 69, died Monday February 25, 2013. Born in Whittier, California, she moved several times in her life before settling in Hanford. Penny graduated from Clovis High School in 1962 where she met her husband and father of her children. The two moved to Hanford and raised three children. She has resided in Hanford for the past 50 years as a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She was co-owner of Badasci Tire and assisted in the daily bookkeeping for many years. Penny was known as a kind-hearted woman and the rock to her beloved family. Many joked she was the family referee as she was not a woman of controversy. Penny enjoyed spending her time in nature, tending to her garden, always being there for her family or anyone else who needed her and caring for her many animals. Penny loved her family and life…
Ms. Badasci is survived by her two sons, George and Kevin Badasci, daughter Jennifer and husband David Rios all of Hanford, California. Eight grandchildren; John Badasci, Dustin Badasci, Zac Badasci, Emma Badasci, Teagan Badasci, George “Shorty” Badasci Jr., Jerome Rios, and Jaleesa Rios along with her five great-grandchildren; Declan Silveira, Cian Silveira, Lilly Badasci, William Badasci, and Benjamin Rios. She also leaves behind her dear brother; John Sayre and wife Gay of Fresno, sister; JoAnn Weckworth of Auburn, Washington. She was preceded in death by her parents; John C. Sayre & Alice Sayre.
She will always be remembered for her even temper and for her love of her family and everyone she knew!
