Salvador Manuel Vasquez

Our dad, Salvador Manuel Vasquez lived a short and hard life. He was a strong man and stood as such until the very end. Dad was born on April 11,1952 to Alice Sandoval and Raymond Perez Vasquez in San Jose, CA.

He passed to join them, his brother Sammy Navarrette, and long time companion Patricia Lopez on December 26, 2014 in Hanford, CA. Dad has left behind his brother Raymond Vasquez of Gilroy, sister Leticia Vergara of Gilroy, Children: Valerie and Louie Lopez of Hanford, CA, Tammy and Tommy Martinez, Sarah Vasquez, Salvador Vasquez Jr. & Jessica all of San Jose, CA, Alicia Davinroy of El Dorado Hills, CA, Sonya and Alonzo Sanchez of Porterville, CA, Linda Vasquez of Hanford, CA.; step-children: Liz and Jason, Angelina Lopez, and Florence Lopez all of San Jose. He had numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, sister and brother-in-laws, God-children, and cousins.

Dad loved the outdoors. He enjoyed family time camping trips, fishing, bar-b-Q'ing and listening to music. He loved watching scary and old black and white movies. Dad was known to watch movies over and over and act as if it were the first time. He was a very big hearted man. He would give the shirt off his back, a couple of his last dollars, and even a new pair of shoes to anyone in need. Halloween was his favorite holiday.

Each and every person in his life meant something special to him. He has his only special bond with all.

Dad was very much ready to leave this life and begin his new in no pain and with his loved ones who had passed and we're waiting for him. I must say that dad prepared and was a very sneaky and smart man.

He accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior in the last of his days. Although we know he is in a better place and is pain free, he is missed and very much loved here. Until we meet again!

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, January 9, 2015 at 6:30 p.m. at Koinonia Christian Fellowship Church; 12536 Hanford-Armona Road, Hanford, CA 93230 (559) 772-1680.

Services are under the direction of People’s Funeral Chapel.
