‘Sue Tyler of Hanford, CA passed away peacefully at her home on June 27, 2016. She was born in Providence, RI on April 2, 1938. Sue, more lovingly known as “Nana”, had a passion for cooking and hosting parties for her large family and friends. Her greatest joy was watching her grandchildren play and listening to the many funny things they said, often bringing tears of laughter that resonated throughout her home. Those familiar with “Nana” knew that stopping by her home any evening at 5 pm would always mean a hot meal on the table. The grandkids would often come by and ask, “What do you have to eat Nana?” and her reply was always, “There’s plenty of leftovers in the fridge.” Sue taught her children and grandchildren, through her own example, to be strong and independent, yet kind and compassionate individuals.
Sue leaves behind Bob Tyler, her loving husband of 45 years. Together they raised a blended family of 6 children: Penni (Mark) Cardoso of Nipomo, CA, Peggi (Fred) Carrasco of Hanford, CA, Chuck Ford of Lemoore, CA, Cherie (Mark) Craver of Hanford, CA, Valerie (Dennis) Folks of Lemoore, CA, Jeri Vierra of Hanford, CA, 19 Grandchildren and 32 Great-Grandchildren. Her surviving siblings are Dick (Debbie) Pearson of Prescott, AZ Peggy Lamoureux of Murrieta, CA, Theresa Pearson of Daulton, AL, Patricia (Earl) Armstrong of Matagorda, TX, George Wiley of Texas and Mike Wiley of Biloxi, MS.
Honey, Mom, Nana, your wings were ready, but our hearts were not!’
