Teresa Diane Silva

Teresa Diane Silva age 63, passed away on January 12, 2026, in Hanford, California at home surrounded by her loved ones. Born on May 22, 1962, in Hanford, she remained a lifelong resident of the city she cherished.

Teresa was the beloved wife of Frank Silva and a devoted mother to her daughters, Amber Silva and Amy Silva.

Her family was the center of her world, and she found immense joy in their company. She leaves behind her cherished grandchildren-Isaac Medina, Antonio Silva, Sabrina Hernandez, and Fabian Rodriguez as well as her great-grandson, Moises Medina and her brother John (Delores) Alves. She was preceded in death by her parents, Augustine Alves Sr. and Jeanette Alves, and her brother, Augustine Alves Jr., whose memories she held close throughout her life.

Teresa found fulfillment in the simple joys of everyday life. She worked for many years at Beneficial Finance Company before moving on to Pleasant Valley State Prison where she worked for the last 18 years where she enjoyed her job and the people she worked with. She had a love for crocheting and gardening-crafting thoughtful handmade pieces and tending to her garden with care and creativity. These quiet passions reflected her gentle spirit and the love she shared with those around her.

Her warmth, kindness, and sense of humor will be missed by all.

A Celebration of Life will be held on January 30, 2026, at 11:00 AM at People's Funeral Chapel, 501 N Douty Street, Hanford, California.
