Thelma Jean McCartney Williams

Thelma was born to Orval and Ruth Crow McCartney on April 29, 1927 in Hanford, California. Thelma passed away on Saturday, May 12, 2012 at Kings Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Hanford, California. She had been a resident of Hanford, California all her life. Thelma was the oldest of three children. She was raised with her younger brother; Stanley and younger sister; Patricia. Thelma graduated from Hanford High School. Thelma was a bookkeeper for Badaci Tire Company for 35 years and then proudly retired in 2008. Thelma married J.B. Williams and had a beautiful daughter; Carolyn.

Thelma is preceded in death by her parents; Orval & Ruth McCartney and her beloved husband Joseph “J.B.” Williams. Thelma is survived by her loving daughter; Carolyn Brown of Hanford, California and her two precious grandchildren; Jennifer Brown of Long Beach, California and Jeff Brown of Hanford, California. Thelma also leaves behind her dear brother and sister; Stanley & Beverly McCartney of Escondido, California and Patricia Wiltshire of Hanford. Thelma will also be missed by her nephews and niece; Michael McCartney, Colleen Fetz and Christopher Wiltshire.

Thelma loved being with her friends and family and especially spending time with her daughter and grandchildren who all cherished her. They will miss her greatly.

A Visitation will be held on Today, Tuesday, May 15, 2012 from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. and a Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, May 16, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. all at People’s Funeral Chapel; 501 N.
