

He attended school in Abilene Kansas and went on to serve 20 years in the United States Air force retiring with rank of Technical Sergeant. Bill bravely served as a Flight Engineer with Air Sea Rescue during the Korean War, Cuban Crisis and Vietnam War.
He and his crew were honored for saving the lives of 19 downed pilots during the Korean War. He loved to tell the stories of his many great adventures.
Bill was stationed in Japan, Korea, England, Germany, Scotland, Okinawa, Illinois, Louisiana and California.
After retiring from the Air force he went into business for himself as owner and operator of Ike's Texaco. He went on to work in the pro shop at the Kings Country Club where he retired.
Bill was a past president of the Kings County Sportsman Gun Club.
He married the love of his life Mary Louise Crispi on April 9, 1955 in Armona CA at the Armona Methodist Church. Together they raised five children.
Bill is survived by his wife of 57 years Mary Louise Ike, daughter and son in law Barbara and Paul Rohrbough, son Steven Ike, son William Ike Jr and daughter Rosemary Harvey. He is preceded in death by his youngest daughter Shirley Dutra. Bill was loved as "Papa" by his 14 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 pm Sunday at Peoples Funeral Chapel. Graveside services will be held 10 am Monday at Grangeville Cemetery.
