Barbara Lee Caswell

Barbara Lee Caswell Age 90, of Richmond, Virginia passed peacefully in her sleep March 10,2023. Beloved wife of the late Joseph Harold Caswell and devoted mother of her recently departed daughter Sherry Faye Pizzi, she was predeceased by her parents: Doris Estelle Kidd and Walter B. Kidd.

Barbara is survived by an unlistable array of children, grandchildren and great grandchildren who meant the world to her, and she to them. She raised her family of 8 children primarily in Greenland, NH and Steamboat Springs, Colorado. Her life was devoted to caring for her family, and she somehow managed to find the time to lend a helping hand to anyone who was in need. She was not only the parent to eight young children but also supported them by working at many diverse and difficult jobs such as running a chicken farm, starting a restaurant, cleaning mountain chalets and setting up surgical operating rooms at Dartmouth Hospital in New Hampshire. Her passion was music, her voice was a beautiful instrument. She loved singing in her Church choir and community gatherings but was perfectly happy to belt out a song anywhere, audience or no audience. Barbara was a kind and generous and loving soul. If she were to have an inscription carved out in stone it would read: “How Can I Help”.

A Funeral Mass Barbara and her daughter Sherry will be celebrated at Our Lady of the Angels (St. Mary’s Church), 392 Hanover Street, Rte. 139, Hanover, MA. 02339 with a reception to follow in the Parish Hall on: Thursday, March 30, 2023 at 9:00 am.
