
Mr. Edward M. Hurley Sr., 74 of Middleboro formerly of Weymouth and Rockland died Saturday, March 12, 2011 at South Shore Hospital in Weymouth after a brief illness. The son on the late Edward and Odile Burns Hurley, he was born in Waltham on August 22, 1936. Mr. Hurley served in the Air Force and later in the Marine Corps Reserve. He retired from the former Badger Company as Vice President of Project Controls. He loved to travel, especially taking cruise's, was a member of the Oak Point Veterans Association, enjoyed tennis and watching sports especially the Rex Sox and Patriots. He is survived by his wife of 53 years Patricia Donald Hurley, father of Theresa Harvey and her husband John of Falmouth and Edward M. Hurley Jr Abington and his girl friend Teri Montmagny. Also survived by a grand daughter, Jennifer Walsh and her husband Gregory of Abington. He was one of 6 brother and sisters. Visiting hours in the Sullivan Funeral Home, 2 Maquan St at the corner of Rte 14 & 58 in HANSON on Thursday from 5-8 PM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday at 9 AM in St. Joseph the Worker Church, 1 Maquan St, Rte 14 in Hanson. Interment will military honors at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
