

Evelyn H. “Tootsie” (Farnell) Davieau of Abington passed away peacefully on February 25, 2026, at the age of 81. Born in Cambridge on May 3, 1944, Evelyn was the cherished daughter of the late Archibald and Eleanor (Marks) Farnell. She was raised and educated in Somerville and built a life centered on family, devotion, and simple joys.
Evelyn treasured time spent with her loved ones, especially during family vacations. Each year she looked forward to trips to Hampton Beach and stays at Orange Lake Country Club in Florida, where countless memories were made. She found her greatest happiness surrounded by family. A devoted and proud Nana, Evelyn never missed her grandchildren’s sporting events and activities. She lovingly cared for them and was a constant presence in their lives, offering unwavering support, encouragement, and affection. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the light of her life.
Evelyn was the beloved wife of 64 years to Arthur W. Davieau. She was the loving mother of Paul Davieau and his partner Kelly Scanlon of Rockland; Lisa Morgado and her husband Paul of Abington; and the late Kevin A. Davieau and his wife Karen of Rockland. She was the dear sister of the late Kenneth Farnell and Beverly Halloran. She was the cherished Nana of Heather DiTrolio and her husband Matt of Hollis, NH; Robert Davieau and his wife Mackenzie of Abington, MA; Kevin A. Davieau, Jr. and his wife Mary of Dedham, MA; Courtney Blue and her husband Dallas of Thompson CT; Derek Morgado of Abington, MA; and Matthew Davieau of Middleboro, MA. She was the proud great-grandmother of Alex, Molly, and Ethan DiTrolio, Kevin A. Davieau III, and 2 more great-grandchildren on the way.
Evelyn will be remembered for her warm heart, her devotion to her family, and the love she so generously gave throughout her life. Her presence will be deeply missed and forever treasured by all who knew and loved her.
Visiting Hours will be held at Sullivan Funeral Home, 45 East Water St., Rockland on Friday, March 6th from 4PM to 7PM . A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Bridget Catholic Church, 455 Plymouth St., Abington on Saturday, March 7th at 10:30AM followed by burial at St.Patrick Cemetery in Rockland. Anyone wishing to join the procession at the funeral home is asked to arrive no earlier than 9:30AM.
