

Irene M. Wilson, age 92, died on Sunday September 9, 2012 at Colony House in Abington, MA. She was raised in East Barnard, VT and Hanover, NH. She graduated from 8th grade from a one-room elementary school in East Barnard and graduated from Hanover NH High School in 1937. She worked in Bath, Maine in 1938 and attended an adult education course in business at night. She graduated from Simmons College in Boston in 1943. She and Richard H. Wilson, also of Hanover NH, had been friends since age 7 and in 1942 the two were married. After WWII in 1945, they lived in Paris, TX to discharge the men and to close Camp Maxey. Afterwards, they live in Fall River and Milton, MA and moved to Norwell, MA in 1939. Mrs. Wilson worked at Ginn & Co. textbook publishing - then later near home at Reliable Fence and Whitcher Auto Appraisals until 1988, and then was home to raise her granddaughters. She was pre deceased by her husband, parents, two sisters and a brother . She is survived by a sister, Lois Moore of Sharon VT, a son Bradford of Norwell, MA, a daughter Marcia of Florida and two granddaughters, Mary and Melissa and their families, including three great-grandchildren. Mrs. Wilson is also survived by many cousins they call reunions Cousin Congregations also many nieces and nephews and grand-nieces and nephews. The family will hold a private funeral and burial. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that any memorial contributions be sent to Beacon Hospice, 32 Resnik Road, Suite 3, Plymouth MA 02360 in her honor.
