

James Leo Daley, 67 of Hanson, passed away peacefully on October 25, 2021. Born in Boston on December 20, 1953, he was the son of the late James and Marjorie (Dunn) Daley. He received his Bachelor's Degree from Bridgewater State College and his Master's Degree from Cambridge College. James was a teacher at Whitman Hanson Regional High School for 37 years and Cardinal Spellman High School for 6 years. He was an avid sports fan, athletic director, and coached baseball, volleyball, and his favorite sport, basketball, for 34 years. James also enjoyed traveling, especially to Ireland, where he enjoyed playing golf.
James is survived by his wife Maureen (McClellan) Daley and their children Conor Daley and his wife Jenny of Braintree, Kate Fisher and her husband Paul of Hanson, and Brendan Daley and his wife Kim of St. Johns, FL. He was the brother of Donna Brown and her late husband Ken of Pembroke, Becky Daley of Hanson, and Jaime Reid and her husband Christopher of Scituate. James was the loving papa of PJ and Jovi Fisher. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be held on Thursday from 4-7 PM at the Sullivan Funeral Homes, 2 Maquan Street (Corner Route 14&58) Hanson. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday at 11 AM at Holy Apostles Parish (formerly St Joseph the Worker) 1 Maquan Street. Burial to follow at Fern Hill Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to the James Daley Athletic Memorial Fund at Rockland Trust.
