

John Christopher Lawson, 64, of Hanover, Massachusetts passed away on February 1st, 2022 following a short battle with cancer. John was born in Quincy, Massachusetts on November 21, 1957 to the late Gordon Dudley Lawson, Sr. of Bronxville, New York and the late Barbara Ann Lawson of Quincy, Massachusetts. After graduating from North Quincy High School in 1974, he studied marketing at Bentley College and later worked as a machinist for Gillette/Proctor & Gamble in South Boston for over 30 years.
On top of being a master mechanic, John was an avid sports enthusiast, favoring football, soccer, and Formula One; he enjoyed astronomy, hummingbirds, and especially rock-and-roll music of the 1970's. John loved nothing more than to spend time with his family; he is survived by his wife of 34 years, Mary Frances Lawson (Horrigan), his children, Stephanie Elizabeth Vigneault (Lawson) and her husband Ryan Vigneault, Stacey Kathleen Lawson, Mark Conway Lawson and his wife Hannah Lawson, Alexander John Lawson, as well as his three siblings, Susan Dyke (Duffy), Sharon Boggs (Duffy), and Gordon Dudley Lawson, Jr. John is also survived by many nieces, nephews, grand-dogs, and friends.
