My dear Joe - we knew each other when I was an administrator at Gates Intermediate School. Joe and I really enjoyed each other - he worked so hard - so hard for the community, for the children, and for the school. I could rely on Joe for anything and everything - he made it happen. I was so grateful to have had the opportunity to work with Joe and to know him as such a good human being with an incredible work ethic. 

I will always cherish my time with Joe at Gates - - he was such a very good man.

Already been a year hard to believe hope you’re resting in peace Dad. I do miss the good old times with you. 

Good bye grandpa I’m sorry I didn’t visit more I regret it so much but I’m glad I got to see you one lat time and you held my hand and even tho you couldn’t speak you still whispered a joke and made me laugh, you were and are still the best so funny and amazing I wish I got more time with you, when showing you my girlfriend at the rehab I laughed so much and you laughed along it brought me so much joy to see you were still in there, I love you grandpa and I miss you so much. 

I'm so sad to hear about Joe's passing.  He worked at Rocco's Barber Shop in Scituate Harbor for years and when it was Scotty's Barbershop before that.  Kind, generous and funny, it was a pleasure to also watch him interact with Rocco and Frank (the American versus the Italians - all in great fun).  Between working at the barbershop and in the school system, he knew every kid in Scituate.  I remember sitting in the barbershop when it was packed on a Saturday, Joe was cutting hair, talking with every customer and all the while bantering with Rocco and Frank.  I could picture it being a Norman Rockwell painting about the commotion, energy and the small town feel of the shop.

I didn’t know Joe very long, but for the short time I knew him I could tell what a sweet kind and funny man he was. He always had a smile on his face and was always joking around. He loved the ocean and he loved light houses and he will be very sadly missed by his family and friends. My sympathies go out to Patty and the rest of his family. My deepest and most sincere condolences for your loss.

Goodbye Dad  I love you. I’m truly sorry our relationship was torn apart. I’m glad I got to say good bye. I can only now hope you knew I was there to see you one last time. RIP Dad you’ll be missed by all who met you.

You lived a good life , made a lot of people smile , laugh you were loved by everyone sad to see you go , had so much fun when you’d ask me to stay the night with you and Patty lots of laughs .   Say hi and give hugs to mom and dad and tell them I love them , I’m sure you guys are playing cards
