

Joyce Crawford-Ford, 59 of Hanson, passed away peacefully on May 26th, 2024, after a lengthy battle with cancer. She is survived by her husband, Paul, and two children, Emily and Brendan, as well as her siblings Karen and Paul Crawford. Joyce is predeceased by her sister, Lynne Ryder, and brother-in-law, Paul Dunn.
Joyce grew up in Norwell, Massachusetts, and graduated from Bridgewater State University. After graduation, she was a grammar school teacher at Saint Mary’s of the Hills, and more recently she nannied for a family she adored. Joyce was also known for her singing abilities and rocked the South Shore with the band, Burnt Toast, for nearly 15 years.
Joyce enjoyed traveling; especially to tropical places, spending time with friends and family, singing and playing music, and caring for her dog, Lilly. Joyce was kind, light-hearted, humorous, and selfless. She put those who she loved before herself and always showed kindness to everyone. She will be remembered by her countless words of wisdom and her positive outlook on life. Joyce’s personable nature and wide smile gained her many friends throughout the years, and her love and warmth will continue to resonate in the hearts of all who knew her.

A funeral mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of the Angels Parish (formerly St. Mary of the Sacred Heart Church), 392 Hanover St. Rte. 139, Hanover, on Saturday, June 8th at 9:30am.
