Mr. Kenneth Allen Dyer Jr., 54 of Braintree formerly of Rockland and Abington died Friday, June 10, 2011. He was born in Quincy on June 2, 1957. Mr. Dyer graduated from Braintree high school and then went on to Blue Hills Regional Vocational Technical School. He was a carpenter by trade, was a past member of the Massachusetts Country Music Association, enjoyed sports, playing the guitar and nature. He is survived by his former wife, Barbara Porter Dyer, 2 children, Jennifer Elkins and Kenneth Robert Dyer of Oregon, son of Anna and Kenneth Dyer Sr. of Pembroke, brother of Linda Boucher of Billerica, Robert Dyer of Pembroke and William Dyer of Plymouth. Also survived by 1 grandchild, 6 nieces and 2 nephews. Visitation in the Sullivan Funeral Home, 551 Washington St., Rte 53 in Hanover on Friday from 4-7:30 PM followed by a service at 7:30 PM. Interment private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Jimmy Fund/ Dana Farber Cancer Institute, PO Box 849168, Boston MA 02284-9168.
