

Lawrence A. Bennett, 81 of Pembroke formerly of Randolph died peacefully at home surrounded by his family on January 10. Born, raised and educated in Roxbury, Lawrence was the son of the late Arthur and Catherine Douglas Bennett. He was an administrative assistant at Boston City Hall before retirement. Lawrence also proudly served in the U.S. Air Force and U.S. Coast Guard and served as an Auxiliary Police Officer for the town of Randolph and an EMT. He was a builder of model tanks and planes, enjoyed motorcycle riding, traveling in his RV and spending time in their winter home in Alabama. Lawrence is survived by his wife Teresa A. Carney Bennett and his children Kevin Bennett of Randolph, Larry Bennett of Randolph, Patty Ryan of Pembroke, Michael Bennett of Randolph and Mary Greenberg of Randolph and was predeceased by his daughter Maureen Bennett. He was proud grandfather of 13 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild and uncle to many nieces and nephews. Lawrence is also survived by his sister Susan Dubois of NH and was brother to the late Alfred Salie, Joseph Bennett and Gerald Bennett. Visiting hours in the Sullivan Funeral Home, 551 Washington St., Rte 53 on Saturday, Jan. 12th from 10:30-12:00PM followed by a service at 12:00PM. Interment in St. Mary's Cemetery in Randolph.
