

Mary Ann (Grady) Ware, 69, of Halifax, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones on Friday, April 19th, 2024, after a long but courageous battle with lung disease. Born August 17, 1954 to Thomas and Anita Grady of Abington, Massachusetts. Mary grew up in a big family alongside her eight siblings.
Mary was a devoted mother to her three daughters: Tiffany Ware of Halifax (age 51) and her life partner JJ, Barbara Figueiredo (age 44) and her husband Joshua of Lakeville, and Natasha Berrio (age 36) and her husband James of Carver. She was a wonderful grandmother to Skylar, Savannah, and Dylan Figueiredo.
In addition to her immediate family, Mary is survived by her sisters Margaret Bailey and her husband Jack of Brockton, Anita Landry and her husband David of Halifax, and her sister Rose Grady of Rockland. She also leaves behind many loving nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers John, Thomas, James, Joseph, and Mark Grady.
Mary was previously married to Roger Ware of Duxbury with whom she shared many years of cherished memories. Though their paths diverged, their bond remained strong.
Mary's life was a rich tapestry, woven with threads of joy, love, struggle, and grace. From her crowning as Miss Abington in 1972 to the everyday moments of motherhood, she embraced each chapter with resilience and a heart full of love. Amid life's challenges, Mary's spirit remained undaunted amidst the struggles, and she found joy in the small things. Mary's easy-going nature and free spirit endeared her to all who knew her. Her life was a testament to the power of love and the enduring grace that shines through even the darkest of days.
Though she may be gone, Mary’s infectious smile will live on in our hearts. Her legacy of love and grace will continue to inspire us all, reminding us to embrace each moment with courage, gratitude, and an unwavering spirit of joy.
A memorial service to celebrate Mary's life will be held at Sullivan Funeral Homes located at 2 Maquan Street, Corner Route 14&58, in Hanson, MA on Thursday, April 25th between 4-6 PM. A short blessing service will be held directly after.
May Mary's soul find eternal peace, and may her memory bring comfort to all who mourn her loss.
