Michael F. Lawless Sr.

Michael F. Lawless Sr. passed away on January 17th surrounded by family. He was the son of the late Frank and Mary (Gately) Lawless. He was born in Malden and raised by his parents in Somerville and Arlington. He later moved to Halifax to raise his family.

Michael was the loving husband for 51 years to Margaret (Mahoney) Lawless. He is survived by Margaret, his daughter Donna (Lawless) Lothrop and her husband Bret, his son Michael F. Lawless Jr. and his wife Susan, his son Daniel J. Lawless and his wife Hilary. He was the devoted grandfather to Jonathan, Kyle, Jake and Collin Lawless of Halifax, Emma and Maggie Lothrop of Halifax, Dylan, Mia and Jackson Lawless of Braintree.

In addition to his wife, children and grandchildren he will be remembered fondly by his two sisters, Marie P. and the late Paul Mahoney, Kay and her husband Roger Jenkins, brother-in-law to Joseph and the late Barbara Mahoney, Donald and Karen Mahoney as well as his many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. 

Visiting hours will be held at Sullivan Funeral Home, 2 Maquan St., Cor. Rte. 14 & 58, Hanson, MA on Tuesday, January 24th from 4-7 p.m. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, January 25th at 11:00 a.m at Holy Apostles Parish, 575 Monponsett St., Rte. 58, Halifax, MA. Burial will follow at Central Cemetery in Halifax, 60 Hemlock Ln. 

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the National Kidney Foundation.
