

Michael "Mac" McCarthy 63 of Dennisport died peacefully at his home on October 17th. Mac was born in Somerville, raised and educated in Plymouth. He was his class President, Captain of the football team, champion body builder, successful real estate broker, and building a career as a politician. In 1980, at the age of 21 his was in a car accident which rendered him paralyzed from the neck down after 2 years of hard work in rehab he was able to begin to walk even though his left side remained paralyzed. A true testament of his mental, emotional , and physical strength, he went on to develop a local talent cable show where he was called the "Clown Price of Cable Access." He loved traveling, especially to LA, New Mexico and Vegas.
He is survived by his sister Susan Corbett of Hanson. 3 brothers Timothy McCarthy of Dennisport, Steven McCarthy of South Carolina, and Kevin McCarthy of Kingston.
A graveside memorial service will be held at a date to be determined.
