

On Friday, November 4, Raymond G Bizzozero passed away peacefully at St Joseph’s Manor in Brockton, Ma. He was just shy of being 93 years old. Born to the late John and Elvira Bizzozero of Quincy Ma on November 17, 1929. He was the beloved husband of the late Kristine (Giglio) Bizzozero and survived by three sons, Rick Bizzozero and his wife Carolyn (Gifford) Bizzozero of Port Charlotte , Florida, Ron Bizzozero and his wife Mary (Hamblen) Bizzozero of Norwell, Ma and Scott Bizzozero and his wife, Rebecca (Robbins) Bizzozero of Duxbury, Ma., he was also blessed with 10 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Also survived by his sister Claire (Bizzozero) Bonasoni of Longmeadow, Ma. ,and many nieces and nephews.
Our Dad worked most his life, but also spent his off time at dinner parties with friends, and many years with our mother at Guanihanni in the Bahamas, which was like their second home.
He enjoyed my mother’s great cooking, family gatherings and meeting up with old friends.
Also a proud Marine, he was a Korean War veteran and was a Sergeant in the Amphibious Unit, involved in the assault and seizure of Inchon; Capture and securing of Seoul: The Wonsan-Hungnam-Chosin campaign and operations against enemy forces in South and Central Korea.
Later in life he and other survivors of the Korean Conflict were awarded the Ambassador of Peace medal from the Korean government! It was a proud moment for him!
Visitation will be held at the Sullivan Funeral Homes, 551 Washington Street, Route 53, Hanover, on Saturday, November 12th from 9-11 AM. Burial to follow at Washington Street Cemetery, Norwell.
