

Richard W. Leahy, 78 of Pembroke, passed away on June 21, 2017 after a period of declining health. He was the son of the late Gerald and Josephine (Morrissey) Leahy. Dick was born and raised in the Wollaston section of Quincy. He was the beloved husband of the late Linda M. (Angie) Leahy, brother of the late Geraldine Driscoll, Joseph Leahy and James Leahy. He was the beloved uncle of Jane Burke and her husband Robert, Robert Driscoll and his wife Rosemarie, Christine Wiley, and Gerald Leahy. Dick is also survived by his sister-in-laws Elaine Rankin her husband Wayne, and Brenda Angie wife of the late John Angie all of Pembroke. Dick’s sense of humor will be greatly missed by his family and many friends.
After Dick graduated from No.Quincy High School, he enlisted in the US Navy and then the Naval Reserve. He was honorably discharged in 1962. He was a member of the Whitman VFW and Whitman American Legion. His favorite thing to do was travel to Las Vegas and Foxwoods with his cherished wife Linda. Dick was an accomplished golfer and enjoyed riding around in his Corvette. He was extremely proud of his Irish ancestory.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, June 27th in the Sullivan Funeral Home, 2 Maquan St., Corner of Rt 14 & 58, Hanson, from 3pm to 7pm followed by a funeral service at 7pm. Burial will be private.
