Robert J. Nihill

Robert J. Nihill, 50, of Bridgewater and formerly of Rockland, passed away on September 2, 2015. Born in Stoughton on January 2, 1965, he was the loving son of Helen C. (Pike) Nihill of Rockland and the late Robert W. Nihill. Dear brother of Nancy R. Munson and her husband Richard of South Dartmouth, Elaine M. Howard and her husband Joseph of Rochester, David R. Nihill and his wife Margaret of Needham, Deborah Baumgarten and her husband Sam of Bridgewater, and Alan J. Nihill and his wife Janet of Pembroke. Rob is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Rob enjoyed family gatherings, music, swimming, and all parties and special occasions. He had a close and special relationship with his mother and looked forward to their weekends together. He was much loved by his family and was happiest when with them. He liked his routines and enjoyed being independent. Rob touched the lives of all who met him. The family wishes to thank the staff of GROW and BAMSI for their care and support. Visiting hours in the Sullivan Funeral Home, 45 East Water St, ROCKLAND on Friday from 4:30-7:30 PM. Funeral mass will be celebrated at Holy Family Church, 403 Union St, Rockland, on Saturday at 9 AM. Burial in St. Patrick Cemetery in Rockland.
