

William "Bill" Quinn, 92 of Carver, formerly of Hanover and Bridgewater, passed away Sunday night, June 17, 2024 at South Shore Hospital, in the arms of his loving wife. Born on May 14, 1932 in South Boston, he was the son of the late Florence (Scobie) Quinn and William E. Quinn. After graduating high school, he entered the Navy and was a "Seabee" (Construction Battalion) in the Korean War, until he was honorably discharged. He began his lifelong career in the Supermarket business at Curtis Farms of Weymouth until they were sold to Angelos Supermarkets in 1972. He continued working with the Tedeschi Family until he retired in 2004 after 50 years of service. During his career, he held many positions ending as Director of Maintenance & Construction. Bill was a great boss, highly respected by all. He was a very kind, generous, honorable and fair person who was admired by everyone who knew him. In his spare time, Bill enjoyed traveling the country and many of the Caribbean and Hawaiian Islands, and Canada. He especially loved vacationing with our German Shepherd dogs. He was a fine craftsman, building walls and stairways, etc. always tinkering. He also enjoyed watching boxing and martial arts. After retirement he became a "petroleum engineer" at Fader Motors, passing out lollipops to the kids and biscuits to the dogs. Being an extrovert, Bill greatly enjoyed meeting people. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his only sibling, his sister Lorraine (Quinn) Morris of Virginia. He is survived by his loving wife, Dorothy (Duke) Quinn, his son Stephen Quinn and his wife Beth, and his daughter Patricia Sgaragli and her husband Ray, his daughter Barbara Landers and her husband Michael, and Tracey Tassinari and her husband Paul. He is also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and Godchildren.
Visiting hours in the Sullivan Funeral Homes, 2 Maquan St. Cor. Rte. 14 & 58, Hanson, on Wednesday, June 26th from 5-8pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Agatha's Church, 432 Adams St, Milton, on Thursday at 11am. Burial to follow at Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
