William "Bill" Needham

William “Bill” Needham of Londonderry NH passed away Saturday April 12, 2025 at the age of 78. He was the son of the late Marguerite (Welch) and Everett Needham. Bill was born in New York on March 24,1947. After graduating high school, he joined the United States Navy in 1966. Once he completed his Naval service, he began a career as a railroad engineer, from which he retired in 2007.

Bill married his late wife Marie D. (Pierce) in 1970 and they enjoyed a 54 year marriage before her passing in March 2024. He was the loving father of Scott Needham and his wife Beth of Londonderry NH, and his daughter Amy Eve and her partner Kris Paliwoda of Randolph MA; and grandfather of Samantha and Zachary Needham of Londonderry NH. He is also survived by his family in NY, his brother-and sister-in-law Steven and Cindy Pierce of Needham MA, his sister-in-law Donna Pierce of Taunton MA, and his nieces and nephews.  He was also predeceased by his brother-in-law Donald Pierce. 

Visiting hours will take place on Sunday, May 4th from 4-7 at Sullivan Funeral Home 45 East Water St in Rockland.
