William H. Parsons Jr.

William H. Parsons Jr, 77, of Hanover died Sunday, February 24, 2002 in the New England Medical Center in Boston. The son of the late William H. Sr. and Dorothy Bartsch Parsons, he was born in Keene NH on January 1, 1925. He was raised in Belmont and Weymouth and was a Graduate of the Quaddy Village School in ME. He was accepted for studies at Harvard, but attended Northeastern University, where he studied Engineering. Mr. Parsons had been employed as & Mechanical Engineer for Raytheon, ITECK, IBM and the Polaroid Corporation. He was a member of the North River Art Society. He enjoyed Classical Music, Gourmet Food and Computers. He served in the Army during WWII. The husband of the late Vivian F. Vano Parsons, he is survived by 2 sons, William H. Parsons 3rd of Rockland and Vincent Schlenker of Holbrook, 5 daughters, Loretta Platt of Marshfield, Cynthia Groeneveld of Marstons Mills, Victoria Campanile of Rockland, Emily Kristnofe of Weymouth and Rachel Parsons of Whitman, 3 brothers, Robert E. Parsons of Hingham, Ronald D. Parsons of Kingston and John H. Parsons of Scituate, 3 sisters, Dorcas Unger of Wayland, Audrey Shaw of Hingham and Suzanne Zipay of Placidia, FL and 11 Grandchildren. Funeral Mass on Wednesday, February 27, 2002 at 11 AM in St. Mary of the Sacred Heart Church, 392 Hanover Street. Rte 139, Hanover. Interment on Friday in the Mass National Cemetery in Bourne. Visiting Hours in the Sullivan Funeral Home, 551 Washington Street, Rte 53 in Hanover on Tuesday from 4-8 PM. Memorial Donations may be made to the Cardiac Unit at the New England Medical Center, 750 Washington Street Boston, MA.
