

William "Rip" M. Ripley, 72 of Hanover formerly of Brockton died Wednesday, December 19, 2012 after a brief battle with cancer. Born in Brockton on May 31, 1940, he was the son of the late G. Allan and Genevieve McHenry Ripley. He had 3 siblings, Marilyn Church, Jean Shelby, and Allan Ripley, all deceased. He received his Associates Degree from Wentworth Institute and recently an honorary Bachelors Degree from the same, of which he was very proud. He was the owner of Eastern Environmental Systems, Inc. He is survived by his dear friend Alicia Soriano and by 2 daughters, Darrelyn Paskavitz and her husband James of Holden and Rebecca Mills and her husband Roy of East Bridgewater, 4 grandchildren, Amanda and Rachel Paskavitz and Abigail and Benjamin Mills and several nieces and nephews. He attended the Kingdom Hall in East Bridgewater. Bill will always be known for his wonderful sense of humor and his deep love of God's creation, rescuing and caring for many animals over his lifetime. He loved driving and his cars, could repair just about anything, and was a meticulous craftsman. Visiting hours will be at Sullivan Funeral Home, 551 Washington St., Rte 53 in HANOVER on Thursday, December 27th from 4-6 PM. Interment will be private.
