Jerry T. Lyons

Jerry T. Lyons, 63, of New Haven, passed away on Thursday, June 13, 2013, at his residence surrounded by his loving girls. Born Nov. 30, 1949 in Bay Minette, Ala., he was the son of the late Jennie Seitz, and Felix Lyons. He graduated from Woodlan High School in 1968 and was a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church, New Haven. He was a Army Vietnam War veteran. He had been a shop foreman at Fruehauf Trailer and North American Van Lines. He was an avid gun collector which lead him to open JTL Guns & Shooters. Surviving are his wife of 43 years, Terry S.; daughter, Tonya Elam of New Haven; granddaughters, Amber Bair of Fort Wayne and Baile Elam of New Haven; great-granddaughter, Emma Elam; and brothers, Gary (Eunice) Lyons of Churubusco, Larry (Jeanie) Lyons of Fort Wayne, Terry Lyons of Lancaster, Calif., and Tom (Vicky) Seitz of Fort Wayne. Funeral Service is 2 p.m. Monday, June 17, 2013, at Hockemeyer Funeral Home, Harlan, with calling two hours prior. The Rev. Paul Shoemaker officiating. Burial in Harlan Memorial Cemetery, Harlan.
