Celia H. Oviedo

Celia was born in Rio Hondo, Texas, on November 25, 1935, to Vicente and Adela Muniz Hernandez.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Irieno Oviedo; two brothers, Jesus and Manuel Hernandez. Left behind to eternally cherish her memory are her children, Eddie Oviedo, Rolando (Linda) Oviedo, Victor (Alicia) Oviedo; her brothers, Luis (Emma), Vicente (Elidia), and Raul Hernandez; sisters, Aurelia Hernandez, Amelia (Epifanio) Rincones, Lupita (Bill) Glass, and Flor Estella Chairez; 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Monday, May 2, 2016, beginning at 5 p.m., and will continue until 9 p.m., with the holy rosary to be recited at 7 p.m., at Funeraria del Angel. A chapel service will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, May 3, with internment to follow at Mont Meta Memorial Park in San Benito, Texas.

Honored to be serving as pallbearers will be members of her family.

The family wishes to express their gratitude to the staff at Valley Baptist Medical Center for the loving care they provided to Ms. Oviedo. As well as to the staff at Atrium Assisted Living.
