Fortunato Gallegos

He is preceded in death by his parents, Erasmo & Rita Gallegos and his siblings; Alicia Hernandez, Arturo Gallegos, Maria Rosales, Luis Gallegos and Erasmo Gallegos.

He is survived by his wife, Eustolia Gallegos and children; Arturo (Esmeralda) Gallegos of Harlingen, Fortunato (Tina) Gallegos Jr of San Benito, Mary (Robert) Adams of Harlingen, Raul Gallegos of Harlingen, Arnulfo (Dina) Gallegos of Brownsville, Javier (Lita) Gallegos of Weslaco and Leticia Gallegos of Pharr and his grandchildren; Jasmine, Daisy, Arty, Lance, Aaron, Randy, Alyssa, Abigail, Anika, Raul, Alex, Anthony, Adrian, Fabian, Aileen, Brina, Emily, Anchalee, Nicholas, Aleksa, Ethan and his great-grandchildren; Audrina, Dion, Elijah, Eliza, and Elilah.

We will truly miss our father, Fortunato. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. He was greatly loved by all of his family and friends. He was a life-long resident of Harlingen and retired from the City of Harlingen – Public Buildings Department. He had a passion for life; he loved to sing and spend time with his family. He was a man of faith, hard working, kind, generous, had a big heart and a great sense of humor and loved to make others laugh. He believed in doing the right thing and in helping others in need.

Pallbearers will be Arturo Gallegos, Fortunato Gallegos, Raul Gallegos, Arnulfo Gallegos, Javier Gallegos, Aaron Gallegos, Randy Gallegos and Robert Adams.

Visitation will be held Friday, April 22, 2016 beginning at 3pm and will continue until 9p.m., with recitation of the holy rosary to begin at 7 p.m., at Funeraria Del Angel Chapel. Services will conclude with a Mass to be held on Saturday, April 23, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church in Harlingen.
