Guadalupe C. Gonzalez

Harlingen, Texas - Guadalupe C. Gonzalez, 77, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 20, 2011 at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen, Texas surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Gonzalez, after being a mother of 11 children, took pride in being the Godmother of over eighty Godchildren, one being a catholic priest.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Adolfo Cirlos and Pascuala Nieto Cirlos.

She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Cosme Gonzalez, Jr. of Harlingen, Texas, and her children, Jose A. (Teresa) Gonzalez of Houston, Texas, Gilberto (Letty) Gonzalez of Harlingen, Texas, Alejandro (Martha) Gonzalez of Brownsville, Texas, Dora Elia (Eliseo) Zavala of Harlingen, Texas, Eduardo (Celia) Gonzalez of Harlingen, Texas, Juany (Raul) Guajardo of Hidalgo, Texas, Fernando (Aracely) Gonzalez of Rio Hondo, Texas, Olga L. (Scott) Chorny of Kansas, Pedro (Julie) Gonzalez of Harlingen, Texas, Lupita (Jerry) Delgado of Harlingen, Texas, and Jaime Gonzalez of Harlingen, Texas. She is also survived by 35 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, 2 brothers, 7 sisters, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Monday, February 21, 2011 from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Tuesday, February 22, 2011 from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Funeraria Del Angel Chapel. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 23, 2011 at 2:30 p.m. at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Harlingen, Texas. Interment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in La Feria, Texas.

Proud to serve as pallbearers are Jose A. Gonzalez, Gilberto Gonzalez, Alejandro Gonzalez, Eduardo Gonzalez, Fernando Gonzalez, Pedro Gonzalez, and Jaime Gonzalez.
