Rosa Maria Martinez

Rosa Maria Martinez, 47, went to be with the Lord on Thursday,January 13, 2011 at Harlingen Medical Center in Harlingen, Texas surrounded by her loving family. She was a devoted mother, daughter, and sister. She worked as a registered nurse at Valley Baptist Medical Center for over 24 years which she loved and enjoyed doing.

She is preceded in death by her father, Sigifredo Martinez, sister, Noemi Martinez, grandfathers, Hermeregildo Robles and Pablo Uribe, and grandmother, Julia Vasquez.

She is survived by her son, Luis Fabian Martinez; mother, Julia R. Martinez; brothers, Sigifredo (Brenda) Martinez and Jose Elias (Valerie) Martinez; her sister, Judy Lee Martinez; and her grandmother, Esperanza Uribe.

Visitation will be held Friday, January 14, 2011 from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. at Funeraria Del Angel Chapel in Harlingen, Texas. Funeral service will be conducted Saturday, January 15, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. at Valley International Christian Center on 2007 East Expressway 77/83 in San Benito, Texas. Interment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in La Feria, Texas.

Honored to be her pallbearers are Hipolito Robles, Porfirio Robles, Joe Robles, Raul Lopez V, Daniel Ramirez, and Manny Lucio.
