Harold Baxter Brown Jr.

He was born December 28, 1955, in Statesville and was the son of the late Stella May Templeton Brown and the late Harold Baxter Brown, Sr. He was of the Methodist faith and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. Following his military service, he worked with R.J. Reynolds and later as a factory worker and mechanic prior to his disability retirement.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Danan Harold Brown.

He is survived by a step-daughter, Amanda Riffle; two grandchildren, Dallas and McKinzie Brown of Yadkin County; two step-grandchildren, Austin and Nathan Riffle; a sister, Ocia Fromme (Bob) of Hamptonville; and a brother, Atley P. Brown of Harmony.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Wednesday, October 26, 2011, at Harmony United Methodist Church.

Private family services will be held at a later date.
