

Betsy loved to sew, read, build puzzles with family, take brisk walks around the neighborhood, visit wineries and travel with her husband. She wrote in her journal and prayed every day for those in need.
She retired in 2015 as an elementary school teacher after 34 1/2 years from Central dauphin School District. She loved teaching and looked forward to seeing her students and colleagues every day.
She was a member of St. Catherine Laboure Parish of Harrisburg.
Her sweet and kind demeanor was felt by everyone who loved her. She was a loving mother, and wife and always put others first.
Preceded in death by her daughter Loren. Surviving is her husband of 40 years, Mark; daughter, Sarah, of Mechanicsburg; son, Patrick and wife, Abigail, of Charleston, SC; parents, William and Patricia Strobel, of Linglestown; sister, Joan Schultz and husband Brent, of Annville; brother, Brian Strobel, and wife Bonnie, of Macungie; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins from Philadelphia, Altoona, Maryland and California.
A viewing will be held from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Thursday, May 2, 2019 and 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM Friday, May 3, 2019 at the Neill Funeral Home, 3501 Derry St., Harrisburg. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 12:00 PM Friday, May 3, 2019 at St. Catherine Laboure Catholic Church, 4000 Derry St., Harrisburg.
