

Carl "Sonny" Lopez, 80, of Camp Hill, passed away at home surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, February 11, 2018. He was born January 11,1938 in Harrisburg son of the late Erasmo and Evelyn Lopez.
He is survived by his wife Betty "BJ" (Kitch) Lopez, children Angela Lucas and her husband Jack, Heather Laudenslager and her husband Brandon, Ryan Shipp and Sarah Ballard, Allison Shipp; granddaughter's Kaitlyn Vannoy and husband Ben, Grace and Cora Laudenslager, and Kylie Gault; nieces and nephews. Among those preceding Sonny in death is his daughter Shelle Lopez, sister Dawn Mumma and brother Richard Lopez.
Sonny was a graduate of John Harris High School. Prior to his retirement from Penn-DOT, he was a self-employed auto mechanic from Paxtang. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, the "mountain house", fishing, gardening, the beach, and cruisin'. He is best remembered as a drummer in various bands, such as Sounds of Gold, Radiant Earth, Legacy, The Showmen, and Head Over Heals.

Funeral services will be 12:00 noon, Monday February 19, 2018 at the Neill Funeral Home, 3501 Derry St. Harrisburg, with viewing from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. Interment will be in the Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, Harrisburg, PA.
