
Dan passed away peacefully at home on December 29th with his family at his side after a two year battle with cancer. He was born June 14, 1951 in Oil City, PA. He was the son of H. Patricia and the late J. Elmer Combs. Dan graduated from Cranberry Area High School. He went on to become a policeman in Lexington, NC, and later a truck driver for Coble Dairy, Schneider Transport, Carolina Freight, CF, Overnite, and recently retired from UPS Freight. Dan was a member of the Oil City Jaycees and the Rutherford Fire Hall. He held leadership roles and was a union steward for the Teamsters Local #776. Dan was a husband, Daddy, and Papa. He was an avid Steelers and Pirates fan and enjoyed watching Nascar. He loved music and reading. Dan was a "walking GPS" who enjoyed navigating and going on family vacations - especially if they involved golf. Surviving are his wife Anna Marie (Rudewicz); two daughters, Jesse and Becca with her husband Devon and their two children, Jackson and Larkin. Also surviving are his siblings, Gene, Fred, Trish, Judy, and Jim. Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 PM Friday, January 2, 2015 in the Neill Funeral Home, 3501 Derry St., Harrisburg. A viewing will be held at 2:00 PM Friday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
