

Born July 10, 1946 in Reading, Pa., died October 18, 2011 surrounded by his family. Son of his devoted father, Paul B. Day, and late wife, Mildred J. Day; and missed by his loving wife, Kay Robbins Day; his darling daughter, Sheri Romano, of Boiling Springs; and “No. 1 son” Jeff Day, of Dillsburg. Gampy will be sadly missed by his grandchildren, Tara, Tasha, Tia and Paul Romano. Loved dearly by his only sibling, Tim Day, his wife, Donna, and their children, Suzzanne, Erica and Avery; and always remembered by Barbara Day.
Over the years he was employed by Lorne G. Seifert Construction, Pennsy Supply, Wicks Lumber, Bradco, Lester Lumber, and was in a partnership with K and K Supply. David was a U.S. Marine Corp veteran and a member of the Reliance Firehouse, Hershey Oversea Vets, Rutherford AMVETS, Lawnton American Legion Post 998, Carlisle Fish and Game Association, Shippensburg Fish and Game Association, and the N.R.A. He was a competitor in Cowboy Action Shoots, an avid dart player, where he played on teams at the Reliance Firehouse.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Dave’s life at 6:00 pm Wednesday, October 26, 2011 in the Rutherford Reliance Fire House, 6900 Derry St., Harrisburg, PA.
