Earl G. “Red” Layton, 86, of Harrisburg, formerly of Johnstown, passed away Friday, January 4, 2013 at his home. He was born March 8, 1926 in Johnstown.
He was a milkman for 30 years, a retired owner and operator of Layton’s Concessions, of Johnstown, and a U.S. Navy veteran of WW II.
He is preceded in death by his son, Danny Layton; and survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Ethel M. Layton; his children, Donna Mae Mainier, of Harrisburg, Philip Layton, and his wife, Donna, of New Oxford, Pam Miller, of Harrisburg, and Patty Tessari, and her husband, Tony, of Johnstown; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and 3 great great-grandchildren.
The family is planning a memorial service at a later date.
