Eleanor A. Ross

Eleanor A. Ross, 89, of Mechanicsburg, formerly of Harrisburg, passed on to our Lord peacefully October 25, 2013 at Messiah Lifeways, Mechanicsburg. She was born December 2, 1923 in West Haven, CT, daughter of the late Domenic E. and Martha (Wigforss) DeCarlo Allen. Preceding her in death was her beloved husband, Frederick Ross and her son Gary.

Surviving Eleanor are her sister Shirley and husband John DiGirolamo of North Haven, CT., her daughters, Judith and her husband Bruce Gould of Magnolia, DE, Sherry and her husband Donald Thompson of Carlisle, PA, Kim and her husband Richard George of Hummelstown, PA, as well as her six cherished grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

Eleanor enjoyed a lifelong interest in music, dance, and art. She was grateful for her family, friends, and caregivers. She was a member of the Chambers Hill United Methodist Church at 6300 Chambers Hill Rd., Harrisburg, where a memorial service and luncheon will be held on Saturday, Nov. 2nd at 11:30 AM.
