Irene J. Stauffer

Mrs. Stauffer was a retired employee for the Bowman's Department Store.

Born March 2, 1919 in Port Trevorton, PA, daughter of the late Clarence and Francis (Reigle) Wenrich; and in 2007 was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Fred D. Stauffer.

She was a member of the Trinity Evangelical Congregational Church. She was an avid knitter and crafter. She made many sweaters and afghans for her grandchildren.

Surviving are her two children, Joyce A. Gruszka, of Thornton and David E. Stauffer, and wife, Carol, of Harrisburg; brother, Roscoe Wenrich, of Port Trevorton; 10 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-granddaughter.

Funeral Service will be held 1:30 PM Wednesday, August 30, 2017 in the Neill Funeral Home, 3501 Derry St., Harrisburg. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. Viewing will be held 12:30 PM Wednesday to time of the service at the funeral home.
