The heavens decided to bless us back in 1925, with the most unassuming and wonderful human being for a little over nine decades. Martha Cope was that person who now is spending time with her beloved husband. Martha Irene Moose Cope was born October 18th, the eldest daughter of Russel Scott Moose and Emma Judy. Her sister Geraldine predeceased her in 2016. She married her husband, Charles Paul Cope I May 3, 1947 who predeceased her in 1993. Together they are survived by their six children: Charles Paul Cope II (Hershey) (Danae), Suzanne Luther (Gilbert, AZ (Gary), Deborah Flook (Allan), Dawn Ditto (Gary), Marsha Yiengst (Jeff) all of Harrisburg and David Cope (Queen Creek, AZ) (Anne). 13 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren, a nephew and her beloved cat Mika. She loved frogs, Christmas trees, and spending time with her family and especially”shopping”. Besides holding odd jobs she worked Avon for many years. She worshipped at St. Margaret Mary’s. She lost her battle with cancer Nov. 18, 2017, a month past her 92nd birthday. Like many of the stars that shine so brightly at night, our Mother in her own way, shined the brightest of any of the stars. And anyone who knew her will have an ache that will never go away. We want to express our heartfelt thanks to Hospice of Central Pennsylvania, they were exceptionally caring and supportive for her last days. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to the American Cancer Society. Services will be held Wednesday Nov 29th at 11AM at St. Margaret Mary’s Catholic Church 2800 Paxton Church Rd. Harrisburg PA, 17110 with internment to follow at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
Arrangements under the direction of Neill Funeral Home, Harrisburg, PA.
