Patricia L. Yates

Formerly of Irwin and Butler, PA, she was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Pat was active in the Democratic Party and was a devoted fan of her beloved Steelers and Penguins.

She retired from Nationwide Insurance.

She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Robert Yates, of Harrisburg; her children, Lynda Moreno of Camp Hill, Laurel Yates, David Yates, and Michelle Mortimer of Harrisburg, PA, and Cheryl Yates of Reading, PA; her grandchildren, Melissa Moreno of Doylestown, PA, Manny Moreno of Butler, Julie Cramer, Dave Yates, Beth Yates, Hillary Hanwell, and Emily Hanwell of Harrisburg, PA; her great grandchildren, Madison, Balin, and Brydon of Doylestown, and Emma and Grace of Butler, PA; her brother, Richard Strojan of Irwin, PA, and her sister, Carol DeTriquet of Chesapeake, VA. She was preceded in death by her son, Randy Yates, and her parents, Joseph and Josephine Strojan of Irwin, PA.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, January 15, 2011, at 10:00 am, in Neill Funeral Home, 3501 Derry Street, Harrisburg, PA 17111, with Rev. Daniel Powell officiating. A viewing will be held Friday, January 14, 2011, 6:00 – 8:00 pm, and on Saturday, January 15, 2011, 9:00 – 10:00 am, in the funeral home. Burial will be in Shoop’s Garden of Rest.
