He was the son of the late Ivo and Kathryn (Koons) DiMartile.
Surviving are his wife of 41 years, Carol (Klepp) DiMartile; a brother, Tom DiMartile and his wife, Louise; and many nieces and nephews.
Phil was a graduate of Bishop McDevitt High School, class of 1966. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science from Kings College and a Master of Science from East Stroudsburg University. He retired from the Pennsylvania Senate in 2005. His career spanned 35 years as Deputy Director of the Republican Office of Legislative Services under President Pro Tempore Henry Hager, Executive Director of the Senate Labor & Industry Committee and Chief of Staff for Senator Roger Madigan.
Phil enjoyed traveling, loved his family and friends and was an avid New York Yankees fan.
A visitation will be held from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Thursday, December 19, 2019 in the Neill Funeral Home, 3501 Derry St., Harrisburg. A Private Memorial Service will be held at the convenience of the family.
