Virgin E. Noss,89 of Mechanicsburg, formerly of Rutherford, passed away and went to be with her Lord and Savior , Wednesday, May 6, 2020 due to complications from Covid-19 at the Sara Todd Nursing Home, Carlisle. Born September 8, 1930 in Millerstown, PA ; she was the daughter of the late Clarence E. Bentz and Margaret Fahenstock Bentz and is preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin M. Noss, Brother Clarence Bentz Jr and Grandson Joseph Wissler IV. She was a graduate of William Penn High School, class of 1949 and retired from the State. Surviving is her son, Benjamin M. Noss Jr (wife Penny); two daughters, Theresa Wissler and daughter Gloria Jacobs (husband James ), Brother Carvel Bentz (wife Linda) and sister Patricia Frances Eshelman, 9 Grandchildren, 17 Great-Grandchildren and 3 Great-Great Grandchildren. She was a strong courageous Lady and through her faith able to rise above adversity and health issues for many years. She was quick to laugh and enjoyed reading, crocheting, Bible studies, westerns on TV ,Red Hat Society ,shopping at Boscovs and most of all spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends and those who had the privilege of knowing her. She was a former member of Christ United Methodist Church Rutherford and She actively attended Bible Baptist Church, Shiremanstown for the past 18 years. A celebration of life memorial service to be held at a later date to be announced. A Private service will be held at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions can be made to Bible Baptist Church, Shiremanstown.
