A son of Carolyn Smith of Harrisonburg and Benjamin Smith of Las Cruces, New Mexico, he was born on August 22, 1978 in Maryland.
He married Melissa Lamb Smith who survives. In addition to his parents and wife, he leaves a daughter, Alyssa Smith of Harrisonburg; step-mother, Peggy Smith of Las Cruces, NM; sister, Jennifer Phillips and husband, John, of Chocowinity, NC; brothers, Kevin and Chris Smith of NM; mother and father-in-law, Trubie and Nancy Kegley of Narrows, VA; and a close cousin, Jason Smith and wife, Sheryl, of NM.
His body will be cremated at Lindsey Funeral Home & Crematory.
