Jay Lynn Harman

Jay Lynn Harman, 56, of Bridgewater passed away on Monday, April 8, 2019 at his home. He was born on October 26, 1962 in Harrisonburg and was the son of Gale Harman Rinard and Cecil of Wardensville, WV. Jay was a lifelong resident of the Bridgewater area and was employed with Beaver Creek Cabinetry for 16 years. He loved woodworking. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his siblings, Julie Botkin (Lynn) of Fulks Run, Joy Smith (Jake) of Bridgewater, Jeff Allman (Rita) of Dayton, and Jeanette Thompson and fiancé, Mike Garber of Stuarts Draft; a special uncle, Wayne Harman of Bridgewater; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Glen and Helen Harman. Honoring his wishes he will be cremated and the family will receive friends 6-8 pm, Friday, April 12, 2019 at Lindsey Funeral Home in Harrisonburg. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, May 4, 2019 at 11:00 am in the Pine Hill Cemetery in Brandywine, West Virginia. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that contributions be made to Julie Botkin, 7581 Hopkins Gap Rd., Fulks Run, VA 22830, to offset final expenses.
