Juanita was born in Franklin, West Virginia on November 14, 1944 and was the daughter of the late Emory Lloyd and Virginia Lena Bryan Simmons.
Juanita was employed by Shen-Mar, Marvel Poultry, Rocco Poultry and retired from Wampler Poultry.
For enjoyment in her free time she enjoyed camping, fishing, boating, sunbathing and connecting with other campers and making new friends.
She was a member of First Assembly of God of Harrisonburg.
Juanita is survived by her husband, Roger Burger, daughter, Anita Jean Sudduth, son, Jimmy Simmons, sisters, Darlene Simmons, of Bridgewater, Sandra Peck, of Elkins, West Virginia, and Bonnie (Jerry) Hubart, of New Market, four grandchildren, Randal (Kathy) Davis, April (Troy) Burns, Jennifer (Adam) Pence and Crystal (Steve) Wright, eight great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Opal Ringgold and Linda Simmons, her brothers, Donnie Simmons, Loren Bryan Simmons, and Lester Simmons, and a great-great-granddaughter and great-grandson.
A memorial service will be held celebrating Juanita's life on Saturday, January 10, 2026 at 1:00 pm at First Assembly of God.
The family will receive friends 12:30 - 1:00 prior to the service.
